Subhashis was the SVP & Service Line Leader for the Enterprise Risk & Compliance practice of Genpact globally and was responsible for driving growth and new digital solution development in the risk domain including sustainability, anti-corruption, enterprise risk management, third-party risk management, internal audit, and SOX. Subhashis was one of the founding partners of Axis Risk Consulting in 2004, which he sold to Genpact in 2008, and left when it was a USD 125M+ practice. Prior to Genpact ERC Axis, he spent nearly 2 years with the Global Center of Excellence of Ernst & Young in the US and about 9 years with Arthur Andersen. He was part of the core team that built the Risk Consulting practice of Arthur Andersen in India. For more than 30 years, Subhashis has focused on risk management, governance, process consulting and internal audit. He has created impact by leveraging his deep domain knowledge of risk to develop digital assets for risk and compliance. His experience includes building internal controls centers of excellence for global enterprises and implementing hybrid delivery models, combining on-shore and off-shore solution delivery.

More recently Subhashis launched India’s first Technology Risk post graduate program in collaboration with NIIT University (‘NU’) and also introduced Risk education at the under-graduate level for the first time in India in partnership with Shiv Nadar Institute of Eminence.

A chartered accountant by profession, Subhashis now focuses on advising Boards and Risk Management Committees on design principles, framework assessment and implementation effectiveness focused on Risk. He also authors thought leadership papers in Risk and is an active industry speaker at forums across United States, Europe, Malaysia, and India, leveraging his experience working with clients across the globe. He has been a panelist and chair at various International and domestic forums including:

• CEO & Directors Roundtable in New Delhi around role and contribution of risk professionals in strategic decisions
• Asia Confederation of Institute of Internal Auditors (ACIIA) Chief Audit Executive Leadership Forum in New Delhi in 2017

Subhashis is actively driving adoption of the Model Risk Code through multiple Board Roundtables. He is currently also actively engaged with policy making bodies in the country to re-define the Higher Education landscape of impact institutions.
